Our Project NUDGES aims at demonstrating how Mediterranean countries can utilize behavioural strategies ("nudging") to improve urban climate policies. It will provide 6 proofs of concept which compare the effectiveness of nudging interventions versus cultural interventions, based on emotional responses and sensory experiences - encompassing sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch. The sixth proof of concept will have a cross-cutting approach, focusing on engaging new generations. The project partners aim to address 3 key gaps:Bridging the gap between climate attitudes and behaviours in the MED populationEducating MED policymakers about the potential effectiveness of climate nudges as tools for changeOffering evidence of the cultural and behavioural factors that influence the effectiveness of nudging strategiesA new, innovative MED-wide community of interest will be formed, facilitating further research within a dedicated Transferability Plan.
