Versione italiana COCKTAIL The COCKTAIL Project is a grant funded by University d’Annunzio (UdA), Chieti-Pescara, Italy under the program Boost for Interdisciplinarity. It falls right in the Plasma medicine field, an interdisciplinary research area that emerged in the last two decades as an innovative field between physics, chemistry, engineering, and life sciences with the final aim to use cold atmospheric plasmas (CAP) in the clinics. CAP has been reported to selectively kill cancer cells without damaging the surrounding normal tissues. Studies have been conducted on a variety of cancer types and the COCKTAIL Project is focused on head and neck squamous cell carcinoma (HNSCC). The overreaching goal of COCKTAIL is to meet the demand for innovative therapies for HNSCC and give a boost to plasma research in cancer target therapy.
