Sequenza sismica di Amatrice - Straordinarie evidenze documentate dai Geologi del DiSPUTer afferenti al CRUST

I Geologi del DiSPUTer (Ud'A) afferenti al CRUST (Centro Interuniversitario per l'analisi sismotettonica) documentano spettacolari rotture cosismiche, alte fino a 2 metri lungo la faglia normale del Monte Vettore, prodotte dai sismi del 24 agosto e 30 Ottobre 2016. Si tratta delle più importanti evidenze di manifestazioni di fagliazione superficiale, associata ad eventi sismici, documentate in Italia nell’ ”era” della moderna Geologia dei Terremoti.

SEISMIC SEQUENCE OF AMATRICE – CENTRAL ITALY The DiSPUTer (Ud’A) geologists affiliated to the CRUST (Interuniversitary Centre for Seismotectonic Analisys) discovered spectacular coseismic ruptures, up to 2 m high along the Mt Vettore normal Fault caused by the earthquakes of the August 24 and October 30, 2016. They are the most important evidences of surface faulting, associated to seismic events, ever documented in Italy, during the “era” of the modern Earthquake Geology.
