Call for papers
INFER (International Network For Economic Research) and the Department of Economics of the Gabriele d'Annunzio University invite submissions of papers for a workshop on the euro crisis exit strategies. This workshop provides an opportunity for all those interested in the topic to discuss their research and to exchange ideas. Researchers are invited to submit both empirical and theoretical papers.
Papers from all the following fields may be submitted (JEL codes in brackets):
international finance (F300)
international lending and debt problems (F340)
international relations and international political economy (F500)
sovereign debt management (H630
economic history: financial markets and institutions (N200)
economywide country studies: Europe (O520)
comparative studies of countries (O570)
In particular, we welcome papers broadly related to the following topics:
the economic costs of Eurozone breakup and sovereign defaults
the economic and political costs and benefits of European fiscal integration
Eurozone exit rules: enforcement mechanisms and moral hazard issues
fiscal union versus fiscal coordination in the design of the Eurozone
the economic consequences of currency unions
lessons from the Eurozone crisis to the future member States
The workshop is open to anybody involved in these research areas, including both young and experienced researchers, Ph.D. students, post-doctoral researchers, and professionals from business, government and non-governmental institutions.

Prof. Roberto Frenkel
Roberto Frenkel has been Principal Research Associate at CEDES since 1977 and Professor at the Universidad de Buenos Aires since 1984. Presently he is also Senior Research Associate at CEPR, member of the UNDP Advisers Group, and member of the Board of the World Institute for Development Economic Research (WIDER), United Nations University.
Dr. Ugo Panizza
Ugo Panizza is Chief of the Debt and Finance Analysis Unit in the Division on Globalization and Development Strategies of UNCTAD in Geneva. He is also a visiting professor at the Graduate Institute, Geneva, where he teaches econometrics and development economics.

Publication of papers
