            I was born in Osaka in 1940.
            I completed my studies at the University of Tokyo and Freiburg i.Br.,in Germany, from which I graduated in 1967.
            I served my residency at the University Hospital of Tokyo. Since 1985,I have been the director of the Nishi Eye Hospital,Osaka.
            I have published many articles on eye surgery including cataract surgery.
