1st meeting
of the Mediterranean Task Force for Cancer Prevention
and Early Detection

The meeting, which is held under the joint sponsorship
of Consortium CINBO, US- National Cancer Institute
and King Hussein Cancer Center of Amman, aims at establishing
a Mediterranean Task Force on Cancer Prevention and
Early Detection. Delegates from each of the below
indicated countries will discuss the opportunities
to influence at their national level the appropriate
institutions and bodies (lawmakers, health officials,
responsible of voluntary organizations, etc.), in
order to implement guidelines and actions which will
be diffused thoughghly the countries of the Mediterranean
basin. The Taormina meeting, therefore, is just the
first step for an exchange of opinions and to coordinate
future activities.
Participating countries:
Albania, Croatia, Egypt, France, Jordan, Greece, Italy,
Lebanon, Lybia, Morocco, Palestine, Portugal, Spain,
Syria, Slovenia, Tunisia, Turkey.
